First annual! So, bring your pioneering spirit and get ready to laugh at the bumps and hiccups along our way...
Theme: Belonging as Blessing and Finding One's Pack! - as inspired by Clarissa Pinkola Estes
Women, girls, nature adventures, river floats, full moon paddle, crafting, magic, equine time, stories, music, outdoor dance party, yummy shared meals, camping, ceremony.
Bring adventure wear and toys, a tent, costumes, talents, and blessings to share!
We are opening The Outsiders Inn for shared use the week of our retreat. You will have access to a shower, bathroom, refrigerator, kitchen, with an indoor quiet time room adjacent. Bring your tent, your van, your trailer and pick your place to sleep out under the glorious summer stars. We will make shared meals and you are welcomed to use the apartment kitchen for snacks or if you prefer to make meals on your own.
Thousand Trails Campgrounds is just a short float up river from the ranch (literally!). If you want a little more space and a traditional campground feel - this is your best bet.
If you want to sleep indoors - Sunriver is known as a vacation rental destination and if you start now you should be able to find a great place on Air BnB or VRBO. Finally, the resort is also a great option

The Outsiders Ranch is on the ancestral lands of the Warm Springs, Northern Piute, and Grande Ronde tribes - also known as Three Rivers in Central Oregon. We enjoy the Little Deschutes River flowing through our back yard and are a permanent home to a quarter horse, three dogs, three cats, a colony of bees. Seasonally we enjoy packs of mule dears, a glorious herd of elk, ducks on our pond, Canada Geese on the river, porcupines, and coyote. We are centrally located amidst the incredible natural resources that have earned Central Oregon the nickname "the ultimate outdoor playground". From epic rock climbing at Smith Rock to our gorgeous home mountain, Mt. Bachelor, offering up amazing skiing in winter and mountain biking in summer...adventure is always afoot! The Fall River rises up out of the earth just a short distance from the ranch promising endless hours of fishing while the LIttle Deschutes River offers a leisurely winding journey through a bird watcher's dreamscape. We recommend spending some extra days before or after our retreat to explore all that central Oregon has to offer.
Here is a basic outline of our days together in July. (It could be up for revision as planning progresses but this is the general gist)
Friday June 30 - Elk Lake Picnic, Dinner, Rollerskate, pickleball and games! Campfire with Belonging as Blessing story and song circle
Saturday July 1 - Lava River Cave Adventure, Crafternoon, Full Moon Paddle
Sunday July 2 - River float, afternoon BBQ, Full Moon Dance party in the Pine Grove
Monday July 3 - Raising The Red Tent Day - crafting and moving mindfully toward an evening of ceremony
Tuesday July 4th - Crafting a Declaration of Interdependence, river frolick, BBQ and Fireworks
And of course we will weave any blessings you bring to share!
